The Germany Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) event took place at Security Essen on 18th September 2024.
Security professionals gathered to celebrate the very best from across the sector with a presentation event and dinner.
This year the competition was extremely competitive and made the job of selecting the winners particularly challenging for the security experts who made up the judging panel.
All those that were selected as finalists and winners demonstrated that they really are the best and should feel extremely proud.

It was with great gratitude and humility that I accepted the Outstanding Security Performance Award 2024 from you in the “Special Lifetime Achievement” category at the Security Fair in Essen on Wednesday evening. It is an immense honor to be recognized in this way for my work in the field of security.
However, this prize does not belong to me alone. It is the result of decades of collaboration with inspiring people, outstanding organizations and a network that has consistently emphasized the importance of safety and security in our society. Together we have made progress, overcome challenges and launched innovations.
My thanks also go to my family and friends who have supported me on this long journey.
This award reminds me that the work in security is never finished. We must continue to remain vigilant, continually evolve and meet the challenges of the ever-changing world.
Many thanks to the organizers of the Outstanding Security Performance Awards, to the jury and to everyone who made this award possible. I look forward to continuing to contribute to a safer world in the future.

An exciting new development for this year’s awards is that winners, except Lifetime Achievement, will go forward for the Global OSPAs – set to take place at the beginning of 2025, and the Lifetime Achievement winner will be inducted into the Security Hall of Fame.
